Week in Photos: St Tropez, Eze, Monaco, St Paul de Vence, San Remo
With family in town, we spent the week exploring Biot, Saint Tropez, Eze, Monaco and Saint Paul de Vence in France/Monaco and San Remo, over the boarder in Italy.
Gallery des Arcades in Biot. This is a great restaurant that serves a mix of Provençal food with an Italian flare. If you can, grab a table outside on the small patio or in the sun across the street from the restaurant. The owners of the restaurant have their own art gallery that they have collected from local artists throughout the years that you can view upon request.
A view from Eze Village looking down on the sea.
As you walk to the top of Eze Village the views to the sea are absolutely amazing.
Walking above the city center of Saint Tropez, you have a great view over the rooftops and the sea.
The port of Saint Tropez is a busy area with many restaurants and shops lining the water.
A view from the outer edge of Gourdon, above Pont du Loup.
Another view of Gourdon as seen from the road driving up from Chateauneuf de Grasse. This same view can be seen in the movie Les Miserables. In the lower right of the photo you can see a trail that switches back up the mountain. This trail is called Chemin du Paradis and it is one of our favorite hiking trails in the area starting from either Pont du Loup or Bar Sur Loup.
Looking up while exploring the village of San Remo, just on the otherside of the border in Italy. San Remo is an hour or so drive from our house in the Valbonne area.
